This link (archive version) left as explanation suggests a misunderstanding concerning the issue of the quoted trial. Here the French laws state (translated in English): "the court of appeal held supremely that the composition of plays of light intended to reveal and underline the lines and the forms of the monument constituted an original "visual creation", and therefore a work of the mind; that this necessarily resulted for the benefit of its author in an incorporeal property right, apart from the public event on the occasion of which this work had been commissioned from him, and that any reproduction was therefore manifestly illicit". It means the postal cards and all visual documents made under this lighting are illegal. -- Basile Morin (talk) 23:39, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
