Rename

[edit]

This historical building (church or temple) was church, than it became mosque. Today it is closed church/temple. As an uploader of this photograph, I choose one of its name variant (Turkish name variant): Cuma Camii. Today its not a mosque but Turkish name is "Cuma Camii" since 15th century. Also this name is today available. Criterias say: “Files should NOT be renamed only because the filename is not English and/or is not correctly capitalized (Remember, Commons is a multilingual project, so there's no reason to favor English over other languages).” So this files own name is File:Cuma Camii, Prizren (Saat Kulesinden).JPG. I rename it back to the original name. If User:WhiteWriter still want to ask rename he may do so, and discuss it her in the talk page. Do not rename the file name until end of disscusion. Geagea (talk) 22:17, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Generally I do not see any problem with the old name. It look like the Turkish name of the place - Cuma Camii, Prizren. Geagea (talk) 22:42, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You should not move file to the old name. i dont understand how you dont see problem? Cuma Camii means friday mosque. Turkish article is soo deep in own pov that is mention that this current mosque was used as a church? That is obvious fact fail. This building is NOT Friday mosque, but Serbian Orthodox church Our Lady of Ljeviš. Photo Balkan mislead you, as this image WAS NOT moved for that criteria. Very wrong wiki practice by that user. Name can be in Turkish, BUT NOT as Cuma Camii, but as "Bizim Leydi Ljeviš, Prizren. Saat kulesine görüntüle", but i dont find that so important also. Again, Cuma Camii is not the common name for this object in any language, as this object is NOT the mosque. Very simple. --WhiteWriter speaks 12:58, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
