Categorization restored

[edit]

The categorization of this image as a Ristesson donation and history image (see my user page) is desired by the donor. We would appreciate if the categories are not changed in that regard. EmilEikS (talk) 23:24, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This image was in the public domain, and the copyright was not donated by Ristesson. Whoever that is, Ristesson does not have anything to do with this photograph. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 23:28, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Mr Kuiper is pretending, for some reason, that he does not know what Ristesson is, though he so kindly helped us get started in October of 2008, offered to design and designed our template (including the text which mentions Ristesson) and acquired our trust then (see my user page) to continue being somewhat consistent. This is not consistent with his previous helpful attitude, does nothing to enhance the value here to Wikimedia Commons and could only serve to alienate donors who heretofore have trusted in Mr. Kuiper. A mystery to me and to Southerly Clubs, in other words. This image was acquired in (very rare) print, prepared for donation and donated to Commons by the Southerly Clubs, Ristesson Ent. Division. We have never claimed to have had a copyright to it. That must be an intentional misrepresentation, as the inference lacks any and all relationship to matters factual. We would appreciate not to have any futher interference in its categorization, as per my first entry above. It would make us feel confident about continuing to contribute rare and valuable images from the Ristesson library. EmilEikS (talk) 23:49, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Legitimate categories

[edit]

Two categories were removed here rather recently. "Black and white photographs of groups" and "Monuments to Swedish royalty". This to me is definitely a black and white photograph of a group. The huge marble statues in the Throne Room I believe are the largest monuments to Swedish Royalty - King Carl XIV John (left) and King Gustav II Adolph (right) - that exist anywhere. Thus I am restoring those categories. SergeWoodzing (talk) 21:01, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
