Seems... silly?

[edit]

This is an "own work" item, and gives absolutely no evidence for its rather large (and fairly specific) implicit claims about the Norse view of the world outside of the parts they knew of. Maybe it is based on something "real", like a description of "the world" from some edda; I don't know. But without any description of why the map was made this way, it seems (in my non-historian view) to just be silly. And even if such a description is eventually given here, the specificity of the unknown parts of the map (as compared to what I'm guessing would be the vagueness of the edda or whatever) seems like it would probably be a modern overinterpretation.

I've removed this image from category "Old maps of the world", as it certainly is not one, but... should this map even be on Wikimedia in the first place?
