I've closely read an account of Tom Ellison's life in—McLean, Terry (1987) New Zealand Rugby Legends, Auckland, New Zealand: MOA Publications ISBN: 0-908570-15-5. —and he quotes a couple of journalists from the New Zealand Free Lance writing about Ellison. McLean quotes Dan McKenzie and Charles Marter; from what I have read I think it is very likely that one of these two is the pseudonymous "Touchline". McKenzie died in 1937 [1], and I have not been able to find any record of Marter's death. - Shudde (talk) 07:49, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
