Re: "File:Mk33.jpg" For reference only. This shell for an 8 inch gun has reference only to a gun that began use in 1963. I am a Marine who was in active duty at Twenty Nine Palms, March 1959. During that time I worked with the 8 inch gun. I was a radio operator, spotter, etc. It had a cabin with room for the 3 crewmen and storage for some ammunition. I drove beside the 8 inch gun at speeds up to fifty or fifty-five miles per hour. Wicki references it at 35 miles per hour. No where in the article does it show the gun with the cabin. I walked guard around the building with the radio-active signs. Some years ago I saw photos of the guns in Israel. We knew that the gun had atomic capability. I thought I would offer this. I have no proof other than my experience. The dates differ with anything shown in Wicki articles. Thank you. 2601:601:8301:6BE0:C044:231:196D:9C65 03:03, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
