Photo is not Mitch Bouyer
[edit]It turns out that the photograph misidentified since the 1950s as being that of Mitch Bouyer is actually that of A-ca-po-re, a Ute musician. The photograph was taken by Charles A. Nast at his Denver, Colorado studio circa 1895-1899 in a series of Ute and Jicarilla Apache portraits which reside in the Western History Department of the Denver Public Library.
