Text on the screen

[edit]

The text on the screen very roughly reads like this:

The following program will allow the use of an IBM Selectric
terminal .... |||| with a NNNN based computer. the Selectric terminal-compatible-computer print bit/but this(?) does not look like
computer print ...(?). The only problem with the 2741 terminals is
that they use a different protocol and code than ASCII terminals.
xxxxx xxx a xxxx xxxxx, the interface is the same RS-232
serial XXX XXXX terminal ["]if/for a printer is simpler
than using it xxxxxxx xxxxx input/output xxxx/ in(?) the
send-receive-contol protocol. This program is for output only.
I have written full | sub(?)bidi(?) routines but they require modifications of
the calling program (XXX XXXX xxx) to handle the half duplex
protocol.

This program was tested on a TRD(?)DATA XXXX? terminal with a
Southwest Technical Products XXXX 6801 (?) computer but should work
with any 2741 type terminal.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

last | The program is assembled to reside in ROM or RAM at [0100] to
XXXX hex with 7 (?) bytes of RAM at ASCII hex. The program may be
reassembled anywhere but the lookup table must start at a page
boundary (XXXX hex). Only 2 bytes of pemanent RAM are needed the
other X may be scratch pad.
