User:Rodomonte Which one is Radamisto here? Jaqeli 02:12, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User:Jaqeli I'm not entirly sure. The scene is this: Zopiro has told Zenobia, that he wants to lead her to her lover. She follows him. Radamisto eavesdrops on them. But then Zopiro pressures her and threatens to kill her. She cries for help. Tiridate appears and disarms Zopiro. Zopiro manages to escape and is pursued by Radamisto. --Rodomonte (talk) 14:49, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Rodomonte I think the first one can be Radamisto. Because he looks younger of all. Can he be the one? Jaqeli 16:44, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Jaqeli It's probably either the leftmost or the rightmost character. The second one seems to threaten Zenobia, so he would be Zopiro. I don't know about the supposed age of any of them. Both Radamisto and Tiridate are lovers of Zenobia. --Rodomonte (talk) 10:30, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Rodomonte Do you know who is the painter of this picture? Jaqeli 13:27, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
User:Jaqeli No, sorry. I think the name is stated just below the picture, but it is not readable in the scan. You may look at the source yourself
User:Jaqeli I just found another version of the picture in Die Geschichte der Musik vol. 2 (Fourier Verlag), page 48. That one is declared as a copperplate engraving by Gabriel Jacques Saint-Aubin after Jean Michel Moreau le jeune. --Rodomonte (talk) 17:37, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
