Inaccurate drawing

[edit]

This is an inaccurate drawing. On dense key matrices (which the illustration depicts), there is wiring on both the top and bottom membrane, and depressing the key makes one electrical contact. The illustration depicts something more like a dome-switch keyboard, where the top layer has only a small conductive area that bridges two conductors on the bottom layer. But in a dome-switch, there is no 'Holes' layer, and the top layer is not flat.

A better drawing would have the top layer's conductive traces connected, and the arrows going throughout that conductor. But the arrows would only flow through to one of the bottom layer contacts. 71.41.210.146 02:14, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
