Claudia Felicitas of Austria
?

(Hallo Achim or others (?)): The identification with Claudia Felicitas (1653-1676), the second woman of Leopold I., is very doubtful. Instead of this, there is a clear similarity with his first woman Margaret Theresa of Spain (1651-1673). This portrait seems to be a (weak) copy of a portrait of Margaret Theresa, now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna), where she wears the same hairstyle, which was spanish, but absolutely uncommon in Austria or Germany. Claudia Felicitas had dark or black hair, and used the common french hairstyle. The title should be changed, in "Margaret Theresa" or "Margarita Teresa" , perhaps with "?" . The portrait of Claudia Felicitas attribuited to Juan Carreno de Miranda is doubtful. Studying sources, the author is SEBASTIANO BOMBELLI. The venetian painter was in service of the Absburg-Tyrol portraying Anna de' Medici (her mother), her and her sister Maria Magdalena. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 888otto888 (talk • contribs) 20:32, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
