This map of brilliant. However, it also contains multiple errors. The Cowboys play in Arlington across the street from the Rangers. The Angels are in Anaheim near the Ducks. The Redskins play in the suburb of Landover, Maryland, not Washington itself. Likewise, the Chargers are in the suburb of Carson, California, not LA proper (and the new stadium for both the Rams and the Chargers is under construction in Inglewood). I only bring these up because other suburban venue locations are noted, so as to keep it consistent. But overall, I love the idea. Oknazevad (talk) 14:34, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thx for your feedback. Is there are more errors in the map? I will fix it next time, but I also want to rework the map to show the spread of the teams, like in this map. Stay in touch. Grettings Lencer (talk) 09:51, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Now I will take this List as a source of my map. I hope it fits. --Lencer (talk) 11:49, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nice Map, I like it a lot, just noticed that you listed the Oklahoma City Thunder in the map key and it's dot colour as being a football team instead of an NBA basketball team. That's the only thing I thought was wrong though.--JaceW22 (talk) 06:35, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2020 updates requested

[edit]

Well, there's a couple of places that need updating. Firstly, as I mentioned above, starting with the 2020 season, both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers will he playing in suburban Inglewood, California, as their new joint stadium opens. Likewise, the former Oakland Raiders are now the Las Vegas Raiders, and will be playing in their new stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Speaking of Oakland, the Golden State Warriors moved into their new arena across the bay in San Francisco, so that needs to get moved as well.

Which brings me to my next thought. While it does seem pretty simple that cities and towns are listed alphabetically while going clockwise around the map, the result is that teams that represent the same city/metro area are listed nowhere near each other because one happens to play in a suburb with a very different name. That makes it difficult to compare. I'm wondering it'll it wouldn't make more sense to place the lists in relative close proximity to the actual position on the map. For example, the lists for Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Jose should probably be near each other. Just a thought. oknazevad (talk) 20:27, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MLS update

[edit]

Hey @Lencer: could you please make a small update to the map? Chicago Fire no longer plays in Bridgeview; in 2020, they moved back to Soldier Field in the proper city of Chicago. Thanks, IagoQnsi (talk) 20:47, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I just noticed that some recent changes in MLS are also missing. Could you add FC Cincinnati, Nashville SC, Inter Miami CF (plays in Fort Lauderdale currently, though that's temporary), and Austin FC? Also, Columbus Crew SC has rebranded to Columbus Crew, and Montreal Impact has rebranded to CF Montréal. –IagoQnsi (talk) 20:51, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing, it looks like New York City FC is listed as "FC" under "New York", but that sorta implies the name is "New York FC". Could you change it to "City FC"? Thanks, and sorry for all the requests. –IagoQnsi (talk) 20:57, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thx for Your hints. I will update the map after holiday in the early August. Please leave all your hints and corrections, that is very helpfully. Greetings Lencer (talk) 15:42, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Lencer: , Charlotte FC (MLS) is missing in this map. May you can update your map? greetings --Tkkrd (talk) 07:58, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
St. Louis City (MLS) is also missing. --Tkkrd (talk) 10:27, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Major League Cricket

[edit]

Will the new MLC be added or is that too small at the minute compared to the others? Marko1111111 (talk) 17:11, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a map for MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL or NHL teams only. Given that these are generally considered the five major professional sports leagues in the United States, I don't think it makes sense to replace it with one that includes more leagues. If you'd like to create and upload your own map with additional leagues, you are welcome to do so. That said, I suspect a map with more than the big five would be very busy; if you're going to include Major League Cricket, you'd probably also want to include Major League Rugby, National Lacrosse League, and the other top-level professional leagues. IagoQnsi (talk) 00:32, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thx for replay. As the creator of the map I would like to leave it at the five top leagues. It's not easy to keep track of them all. Greetings Lencer (talk) 11:02, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
