This map contains a mistake. The southern half of Caspian Sea is green and it's probably meant to represent Azerbaijan. It's ridiculous.--Kohelet (talk) 23:36, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Inaccurate
[edit]The information in this file is inaccurate.
The colour for Pakistan corresponds with 'Specific garments required. Veiling of faces maybe common.'
Based on what I have read, it should be 'Specific garments maybe required. Veiling exists but is limited.'
The information can be found on wikipedia, on the page for 'hijab' or 'types of sartorial hijab'.
The image should not be used on wikipedia if it directly contradicts textual information.

Kuwait
[edit]The light green colour given for Kuwait in this map is very wrong. The pressure to veil is stronger in Kuwait today than it ever was in Iran, even just after the revolution in 1979. The veiling of women in Kuwait, at least for women who are Muslim and not tourists, is definitely the norm, close to 100%. Whether the pressure to veil comes from government or from a conservative cultural tradition, it makes absolutely no difference to the reality on the ground. Women in Kuwait effectively have no choice in the matter, they are forced through threats of violence from their families and local communities to veil in public, and that is why women in Kuwait are all veiled. Therefore, the colour for Kuwait on this map should be a much darker green. Either "Specific garments required. Veiling of faces maybe common" or "Dress code required. Violence and/or legal prosecution for violation" would be the most honest and accurate description for Kuwait. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.129.207.248 (talk) 06:42, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
Israel
[edit]Only some Haredi neighbourhoods in Israel enforce modesty rules. It's not enforced nation-wide in Israel — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 113.88.113.133 (talk) 04:43, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
