I don't think there really exists this kind of breed, so maybe the category "dog breeds originating in Indonesia" should be removed from this and another "Mantu" photo. I base my argument on the following quotations from the Malaysian Mantu userpage in English Wikipedia, which sound like a kind of joke description:

"Many say that the dogs died from the heat, or that they were not fed properly (an accusation that almost lead to a horrible loss for coffee bean growers). The investigation of the extreme deaths was terminated in 1952 by the FBI, who could never find out the cause of all of the deaths."

"In 1978, they were challenged by Herbert Smith, who challenged the organization to accept the breed. They did not."

"It is for those reasons that the dog is very rare and priceless, the average price going at about $12,800." (no dog that is not recognized as an official breed by any nation's kennel club, no matter how "rare" they are, absolutely won't cost that much)

Moreover, as we can see here, the Wikipedia page about "Malaysian Mantu" was deleted as an article in English Wikipedia:

Malaysian Mantu, deleted page

In addition, there is no other page found by google about this breed than Wikipedia's userpage and these two photos. Therefore I would see it reasonable to remove the "dog breeds originating in..." category, as it is quite clear the dog in these photos represents either some other breed or is a mutt. --Canarian (talk) 06:10, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
