The reasoning for deleting this image was very weak and the request was easily denied. A zealous user suspected the image contained unnecessary UI elements of Mac OS X and therefore constituted a copyright violation. However, this image is used as a figure in a wiki book about programming and an accurate illustration is necessary. Additionally, while I don't have hard evidence, I believe Apple doesn't consider this type of imagery to be a copyright violation. If it did, publications would never be allowed to include screenshots. --Lance E Sloan (talk) 19:16, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
