I doubt this is I-18, though it is very likely this was taken at the same base where I-18 was captured. There were over 700 Ohkas constructed, and there likely where large numbers found at Yontan airfield. However, the photographer who took photos that later became available saw only a limitted slice of them so there will be a tendency to get many shots of the same example.

Anyway, note the following differences with I-18.

I-18 in similar angle
  • No horizontal dark streak on left side.
  • Rear rocket nozzels are different (lower left protrudes more on I-18.
  • damage dark area on lower rear inside corner of right tail of I-18

Note some things that appear similar but will get you.

  • Sawhorse construction was standardized- they all pretty much look identical.
  • The carrying cradles also were standardized- and appear very similar, with similar strap used to secure nose.
  • foliage around the Yontan airfield appears similar, and Ohkas were hidden in the bushes to avoid air strikes.
