Accuracy

[edit]

This shield is inaccurate. None of the markers posted on Mackinac Island look like the standard trunkline shield used in the rest of the state. All of them posted are like the following image:

I am aware of this discrepancy; I just haven't had the time to fix it. I'll work on it, when I finish the CDH shields. — IW4UTW 17:58, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, after doing a bit of searching, I'm not entirely certain this does count as a discrepancy. You're right that MDOT doesn't post the standard shields on M-185. However, MDOT doesn't post any shields on M-185; these are posted by the Mackinac Island State Park Commission, and given their brown color, should be considered park signs. If it weren't for the route showing on the Official Transportation Map, I'd be quicker to call this an unsigned state trunkline. On that note, I'll create an M-185 shield (once I find a suitable font) and add it to the Commons, but I will not overwrite the standard one. —IW4UTW 18:32, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
