This prototype truck won three times his category in Dakar rallye 1998, 1999, 2001 and was second in 2000. Behind the front axle installed Deutz BF8M 1015C single turbocharger engine, 1x430 mm Sachs clutch, prototype 16 speed Tatra transmission with the cable shifting, Tatra drop box, 4x4 drive with a switchable front axle drive, all halfaxles light "king frame" air bag + coil spring inside suspenssion, Tatra CTIS, Michelin tyres. Typical Tatra chassis with the backbone tube and swinging halfaxles each wheel independent suspenssion.
