I have removed the flag by Masur (talk · contribs) stemming either from the lack of understanding of the corresponding copyright law, or perhaps, from sloppy reading of what the provisions of Polish law indicate (as explained within the existing {{PD-Polish}} infobox). The book in which this historic image appeared provides a suitable sourcing information, however, the book by Siemiaszko, and the photograph taken by somebody else, are two different things obviously. Polish copyright law makes it pretty clear in this regard.

I repeat, it does not matter when the book was published, because the photograph featured here, found on one of its pages, falls within a different timeframe, and thus a different law. The photograph was taken in wartime, a decade before the required legal deadline, according to provisions of the Polish copyright law. It is therefore an old image available freely. --Poeticbent talk 16:14, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
