This is not an A442 B, but an A442 A (chassis #A442/1), the one raced by René Arnoux/Didier Pironi/Guy Fréquelin in 1977 24 Hours of Le Mans (in the Bendix blue/white livery) and by Jean Ragnotti/Guy Fréquelin/José Dolhem/Jean-Pierre Jabouille in 1978 24 Hours of Le Mans (in the livery portrayed in this photo).

Please look at the cockpit: only A442 B had a special "bubble" windscreen that almost covered pilot's helmet[1]
