Identification

@Toffel: Note that File:Lactarius spec. - Lindsey 9b.jpg is presumably the underside of the same mushroom. This was originally identified as L. lacunarum, but user:Toffel asked for it to be renamed, deciding it is definitely not that species. It seems to be under oak but (if L. lacunarum) should be in a damp place under alder, birch or poplar. The gills may be decurrent but may be adnate. The milk should slowly go yellow.

I agree that this mushroom has not been well identified and it is a good change to categorize it as "Unidentified Lactarius". I would be interested in any further comments on what it could be. Strobilomyces (talk) 16:40, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
