Parabolic or catenary

I am not sure if they are parabolic or catenary. --Error 00:08, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
- They are, in fact, hyperbolic cosine arcs - see en:Hyperbolic function. This is verified by my lecturer in calculus at the University of Bergen (who showed us this image as an example of hyperbolic cosine, but pointed out the error in the name.) The name of the image should perhaps be changed accordingly. SinWin (talk) 16:08, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
