This map is, unfortunately, pure nonsense. There is no logic to it, and different criteria seem to have been used for each language.

• For Ireland, the official Gaeltacht regions are showed. (Regardless of how much Irish is spoken there)
• For Scotland, there is no logic at all. Some current Gaelic-speaking areas, some areas that were Gaelic speaking 100 years ago, and some areas that haven't been Gaelic-speaking since the middle ages. Purely random.
• For Wales and Cornwall, the entire country is shown. Again, it defies logic. Why isn't all of Ireland and Scotland coloured when all of Wales and Cornwall is?
• For Britanny, the traditional Breton-speaking area of the 19th century is coloured.

In other words, different criteria all the time. The map does not show where Celtic languages are spoken today, nor does it show the history of Celtic languages. At no point in history did the geographical spread of the Celtic languages match this map.Jeppiz (talk) 17:00, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
