Are they boarding of unboarding they look like they are walking away from the ship not toward it. If they arrived in England it would be Liverpool instead.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 03:16, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not the SS City of Rome (1881)

This is obviously a naval warship and therefor NOT the SS City of Rome (1881) of the Inman Line which was a passenger ocean liner. -Ad Orientem (talk) 05:16, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think what’s happening here is that they are on their way to board the City of Rome (out of picture) at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and walking past a US Navy warship (USS Atlanta) to get to her. Broichmore (talk) 11:22, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
