Yazma

[edit]

This picture is not the proper one, is misleading. This one is called "yazma". A kind of local scarf used for headscarfing, in rural area, especilly were the yoruks live, it is a motive of Turkish traditon. The man debate is not related to wearing "yazma", is related to a different kind of headscarfing, "turban", reflecting a political and religious attitude, aiming to conceal all of the hair. Also turban requires closing the body from top to toe, smetimes, except the face. These two issues are totally different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abaisdelphis (talk) 12:03, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I just entered here to write down that this kind of head scarf is called "yazma" and I noted that someone else had taken care of it 7 years ago, although in my case I simply wanted to put in records the "name" of this kind of head scarf, all those other arguments on political etc aspects have nothing to do with a picture file here in Commons. --E4024 (talk) 15:13, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
