@Zieben007: Might you have time to update this map?
As noted in w:Talk:Kansas City metropolitan area#14 or 15 counties?, a reference cited in the Wikipedia article on w:Kansas City metropolitan area[1] is a spreadsheet that actually identifies 15 counties: Atchison County, KS, in row 89 and another 14 in rows 865-878, being Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn, Miami, and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas plus Bates, Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Jackson, Lafayette, Platte, and Ray Counties in Missouri.
HOWEVER, Atchison County, KS, is NOT marked on this map. Since this map has the correct number of counties, at least one county marked on this map is NOT part of the official KC metro area.
Until someone can fix this map (or until the official list changes to match this map), the map used in the w:Kansas City metropolitan area article will be wrong.

- I've had someone at the Graphics Lab go ahead and remove Franklin County, Kansas from the map per the most recent census delineations. Grey Wanderer (talk) 01:18, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
