Photo subject

[edit]

I believe that this photo may have been misidentified as Dr James Barry. According to the descendants of Joseph Barry, the image is in fact of him [1]. It is used multiple timed of the website of the company Mr Barry co-founded. As their appears to be confusion in this case, I will remove from article. Autumnking2012, I think you are right. All other images of James Barry found on the web do not show any similarity. --Achim (talk) 18:58, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, both the one confirmed photo that exists and the various paintings, as well as contemporary descriptions, show Barry as very slight, even effeminate (with hindsight, clearly due to being born female!), whereas Joseph is a of a much larger build. I attempted to move the image to a new name, but did something wrong as that was denied. What would be the best way to go about changing the image title? It is obviously used across Wikipedia, on pages outside the English version, and I am not sure how to go about correcting it all. Many thanks in advance. Autumnking2012, please don't replace anything right now. Renaming is done automatically and I will upload a different image that can replace the previous one of James Barry. Kind regards, --Achim (talk) 20:05, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks, little out of my depth on Commons! Autumnking2012 (talk) 20:17, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done on all projects. Autumnking, feel free to add File:James Barry.jpg to en:James Barry (surgeon) if you like. Best, --Achim (talk) 21:23, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
