Actually, the copyrightholder is Frederik Engel Jeltsema, who died in 1971. So, the photographer is not able to put this image in GNU Free Documentation license. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 17:49, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for noticing this fact. I am still a bIt confused by statues (and other 3 dimensional object) and the public domain. For instance the creator of this statue died well after 1937, but how do i know wether I am free to use photographs of it? - Vincent Steenberg (talk) 02:23, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You may use it under the Freedom of Panorama right, see [1] (you are dutch, right?) Brbbl (talk) 06:53, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oke, I didn't know that. But is GNU-FDL the appropriate copyright license? Shouldn't it be Public domain? Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 16:36, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Brbbl, it's clear to me now. @Jan Arkesteijn, I assume that the copyright is with the photographer in that case. - Vincent Steenberg (talk) 12:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
