It may be a good idea to provide a transcription and English translation for this document. Also: I might suggest photographing or scanning this item using a black background. Then the writing on the reverse side will not be as visible. With a black background, the copy may require some adjustment of contrast and brightness. --Robert.Allen (talk) 19:45, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robert,
OK for the transcription, and English translation. For the conditions of photographying, the pictures were taken from the screen of a microfilm viewer. This is why they are quite bad. In France, most of birth, wedding, death certificate registers are communicated either by Internet publication or only by their microfilm version, in order to protect originals. This certificate is not on Internet, ans I must go to Agen in order to obtain a better photograph.
If I give Wikipedia the web address of an "Archives départementales" site and the references of the Internet register which contains an act, is it a suitable source ?
Sincerely yours,

This is outside of my experience at Wikipedia, but the information you suggest adding would definitely contribute to verifiability, so that sounds like a good idea. Thanks very, very much for the transcription. --Robert.Allen (talk) 23:40, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robert,
I'm used to read these dccuments ... In France, the oldest are from approximately 1550's
I will try to give Wikipedia Internet references for my certificates (see Jean-Vital Jammes talk).
Sincerely yours,

Just a detail, Delpech was a baker (Boulanger). In French certificate, profession and age of witnesses were compulsory mentions. And witnesses were compulsory males.

Hi Jean, Thanks for all the help! I think the English version looks pretty good now. Look it over when you get a chance. --Robert.Allen (talk) 08:33, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
