Jökulhlaups at Gígjökull in 2010

Small glacier runa (jökulhlaup) went down this outlet glacier during the eruption series at the main craters of Eyjafjallajökull. They filled up the glacier lake at the foot of the outlet glacier and more: The sediments and volcanic ash built up the small hill in front. (See eg.
