Tire is a bad choice of example

"Tire" (car wheel) is spelled (or spelt) "tyre" in British English, which rather muddies the waters for a British reader trying to interpret the diagram. I suggest replacing with another pair; e.g.:

  • lie (untruth) / lie (recline)
  • saw (did see) / saw (tool)

Of course, the diagram also fails to distinguish homonymy from polysemy, but that's a harder problem to solve. Jnestorius (talk) 19:43, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
