Identification
[edit]@Selso: Hello. Sorry to write in English. The identification of this mushroom as Cortinarius anomalus was disputed by user:83.4.243.56, in fact that user nominated the file for deletion. However I think that the correct procedure would have been to mark the file with a "disputed identification" template and discuss it on the talk page. The reason given was "Bo nie przedstawia tego gatunku jakim jest podpisany. To nawet nie jest ten rodzaj" (Google translation to English: "Because it does not represent the genre it is signed with. It's not even that kind."), which I think means that the given species Cortinarius anomalus and even the genus Cortinarius are wrong.
Note that File:Cortinarius anomalus a2 (3).JPG and File:Cortinarius anomalus a4.jpg both do look like Cortinarius anomalus. I agree with user:83.4.243.56 that this photo (number a3) is something else and with its yellowish stem which is hairy below it seems to me very like a Gymnopus peronatus. I think that a Cortinarius can have a tomentous stem base and a swollen one, but it can not have really big discete hairs (being "strigose") like in this photo. But without seeing the gills and the top of the stem it is difficult to be really certain about the identification. Strobilomyces (talk) 16:08, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Selso: Well, I am confident that this is Gymnopus peronatus and I will update it. Strobilomyces (talk) 18:57, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Also I renamed the file now. By the way, Gymnopus peronatus is changing its name again to Collybiopsis peronata, but not yet in Commons. Strobilomyces (talk) 18:39, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
