Admin officer has two times marked this photo for deletion. Given the date of the photo and the copyright law of Iran I do not understand the problem of admin officer. --Wvk (talk) 15:17, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an admin. You need to understand {{PD-Iran}}. The only Iranian photos allowed here are if the author died before August 1980, and you have to show some kind of evidence, or in some cases if the photo was "published" over 30 years ago. This is the law of Iran. The record or evidence of publication is required, for example if a photo was published inside an Iranian newspaper or books over 30 years ago it may qualify. If it was published less than 30 years ago then you cannot upload such photos. This is not my rules, it's Commons' rule.--Officer (talk) 22:47, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Generally, when copyright term is dependent on the publication date, you should always provide an evidence of first publication. about this photo, Gholamali Bayandor was died in 1941, during WW2, IMO it's unlikely that an official portrait like this, was not published (or publicly presented) when he was alive or within 40 years after his death.  ■ MMXX  talk 00:38, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I do understand the copyright of Iran. Concerning photos of people of Iran it is some times difficult to come up with an exact publishing date. Therefore we need some proove beyond any reasonable doubt that the photo has been published at least 30 years ago. Bayandor died 1941 in combat. He was the first high ranking military person of Iran, who died in WWII. Therefore it is licely, that his photo has been published in 1941. It is very strange to me that user:Officer posts a banner to delete this file without having any evidence that the copyright of Iran has not been respected. I support MMXX: It is very licely that this photo has been published or publicly presented when he was alive or within 40 years after his death. Therefore there is no reason to delete this photo. --Wvk (talk) 20:24, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wvk, I'm not the only person noming your uploads as can be seen on your talk page. Put complete and convincing info on files when uploading so that others don't become confused. Thanks you.--Officer (talk) 18:54, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine with me. --Wvk (talk) 20:06, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
