Not a 2 Guinea piece

[edit]

@Carlomorino: I'm afraid this coin is not the "SCBC 3667A" 2 Guinea gold piece dated 1738 as stated (which should have a single baroque-style shield of arms on its reverse), but in fact a 1732 silver coin, viz. anything from a Crown (SCBC 3686) via Halfcrown (SCBC 3692) and Shilling (SCBC 3698) down to a Sixpence (SCBC 3707), as in 1732 all of these exist with the four cruciform shields with roses and plumes in the angles. Any chance to find out after so many years which one it actually is? Thanks -- HReuter (talk) 01:41, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@HReuter: : I'm sure you're right. From the picture does not seem to be a golden coin. Very sorry. I, probably, copied/pasted the description from the CNG site. BTW these coins are out from my interest field (South Italy coins of the 3° cent. BC.). Now the problem is what are we going to to. Has the weight any meaning? Any opinion? (sorry for my bad knowledge of English). --2.236.45.2 17:02, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Carlomorino: Having studied the rules, I have now placed a request for deletion of this image here, trusting you will not be offended. – As to your current numismatic field, some of the nearly 10.000 quality images of coins in the Münzkabinett (Berlin), mostly antique and uploaded last year, may be of interest for you, many of them still needing more detailed categorization.
