James Salmon and the James Salmon collection

Salmon was a prolific photographer, and collector of historic photographs. He died of cancer, in the mid 1950s, when he was in his fifties. So he almost certainly did not take this 1913 photo. He would have been too young.

After he died his widow allowed people to reuse photos from his collection, on a peacemeal basis. Eventually she sold all 15,000 images to the TPL. Geo Swan (talk) 16:33, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
