Numbers

[edit]

The drawing seem to be calculated using the formula at [1]:

r = 5.196 × sqrt(d / f)

...where d is distance between receiver and transmitter in kilometers, f frequency in gigahertz and sqrt is square root, with the resulting radius in meters.

However the coefficient of 5.196 should be of 8.656 according to its WP article. Langus-TxT (talk) 00:45, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Capital K?

[edit]

Why is there a capital K (like kelvins, the unit of absolute temperature) in "Km"? The unit of kelvin times meter makes no sense. Should it be a small k (as in kilo, an SI prefix) instead? (Yes, SI unit symbols are case-sensitive.)
