Three-litre Cortina?

Is this description corrrect? My dad had a 1968 Cortina, and the fastest model I can recall was the 1600 Executive. (Not that we had one.) MartinD (talk) 11:47, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There was no "Normal" Ford Cortina MkII 3 litre sold by Ford. However, if you run an query on the DVLC enquiry page, they come up with 2994 cc for this car. Big Brother isn't always right, of course. But it's possible. Possible either that someone did a one-off conversion or else that this was one of the conversions commericialised by one or other of the specialist firms that offered them.
