Mistake

[edit]

This is Lepus europaeus Hunu (talk) 15:12, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, Lepus europaeus have larger ears, differently shaped head, narrower front legs, and not the least, does not have habitats as far north as Stockholm. /ℇsquilo 14:10, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Althouth, it could be a hydrid. /ℇsquilo 14:11, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Lepus europaeus; the ears are large; compare e.g. File:Skogshare, Mittåkläppen, Härjedalen, Juni 2017 (24304138858).jpg. It is exactly like the Brown Hares I see in UK. For the location, I can only guess that (perhaps with climate warming) that Lepus europaeus is spreading north in Sweden; the map here File:European Hare area.png is not detailed, but it does suggest it occurs at least as far north as Stockholm too, if not further north. - MPF (talk) 01:23, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
