Year on the coins

Hi, can please somebody explain why the year on the coins is 2002? When it was a starter kit, and according to the text on the package, they should have been coined earlier? Thanks.--Usteinhoff (talk) 18:51, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Only Belgium, France, Finland and Spain have 1999, 2000 and 2001 coins. On the upper seal the printed date is 27.03.01 and the coins are 2002... Nothing logical. You may ask Austrian authorities, I guess or may be at the Village Pump.
