The engraving technique and the way the figures are depicted (though I couldn't explain it in the same way that a true art expert would). Have you seen 16th-17th century engravings? They tend to look more like File:Alfons luder kunde.gif, File:16thc-German-woodcut-Chastity-belt.jpg, File:Catalogue of Sects.GIF etc. Then compare the 19th-century engravings in Category:PCL-portraits... -- AnonMoos (talk) 09:52, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
