Missing Data

[edit]

This graph of winner's vs. loser's heights is obviously missing data. Madison, the shortest president, Lincoln, the tallest president and Jefferson, 3rd tallest, all won twice against opponents of different heights and no other presidents tied them for height. There should therefore be exactly 2 dots for each on the winner's axis in their respective columns, one directly above the other for losers of different heights. But there is only 1 dot for each of these presidents. There are not enough dots on this graph for the people who have been president (39 vs 44), much less to represent every election 1800-2004 (52), though a few dots might overlap if both winner and loser are the same heights necessitating a third axis for the graph. This graph has been misinforming readers since 2007.
