Faulty graph

[edit]

This is a very nice exercise in converting data into a graph, but it contains a major, if not fatal flaw: It fails to show the non-linear and substantial bump in the town's population when in 1972 and 1974 ten surrounding villages were administatively incorporated into the town. The smooth linear graph is therefore grossly unrepresentative of actual population growth from the 1960s to today. I will delete the graph from the Wiki-article. --Cosal (talk) 21:26, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The recent update still does not solve the problem. Without data for 1970 and 1974 this graph is simply misleading, as it implies steady and substantial growth. The addition of those ten villages in 1972 and 1974 added about 5500 people to the town's population in those two years simply by administrative decision. --Cosal (talk) 19:38, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please update this graph once more in view of the latest revisions in the underlying data. Thanks. --Cosal (talk) 17:50, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
