Phú Quốc Island

[edit]

@Every-leaf-that-trembles: Thank you for providing this image! We have an almost complete set of ecoregion charts, but still with some holes in it. Thanks for this addition.

However, I would like to point out, that Phú Quốc Island (Vietnam) is also part of this ecoregion. It is the large island south of the purple splash. Whoever made this chart, forgot to include it. Could we fix this problem? Cheers. RhinoMind (talk) 16:33, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@RhinoMind: Good catch. I'm making these maps by overlaying the region shapes onto a relief map, and missed the island offshore. Let me know if you want any particular maps prioritized. By my count there are currently 259 terrestrial ecoregions to go . . . Every-leaf-that-trembles (talk) 02:40, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Way to go! *thumbs up*. Is there really 259 ecoregions missing a map? I had the impression that most were done, but if you say so, I guess you are right.
But where do you get you ecoregion shapes from? I know of this digital map: [1], but for some reason (that I can't remember) not all of these ecoregions are congruent with the WWF ecoregions. I stumbled upon that discrepancy when I worked with ecoregions of Europe. RhinoMind (talk) 01:42, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
