Color scheme

[edit]

Hello, @Ternoc: , I noticed the change to you've made to color scheme of this map from red-yellow-green to blue-orange-red. Personally, I think the red-yellow-green color scheme is better for the map seeing as those are the official colors the Democracy Index uses as you can see on page 30 of this PDF as well as on the table of country ratings on the Wikipedia article for the Democracy Index. Hello @Kamalthebest: , as I have friends who are colorblinds, I asked them about the colors and they said they couldn't read it. Please don't forget about people who are suffering from various handicaps such as colorblindness. [1] offers colors scheme that are color blind safe. Ternoc (talk) 16:33, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Alright @Ternoc: , I understand the desire to create a map that is more colorblind friendly but all the previous year's maps from 2014 for example, or the older version of the 2015 map used the color scheme of green-yellow-red. I've changed it to blue-yellow-red. Are the new colors acceptable? It is closer to the original color scheme than a blue-brown version. Kamalthebest (talk) 00:18, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Ternoc (talk) 18:29, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, thanks for the advice. Kamalthebest (talk) 05:29, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
