Nevit, are you sure that this is a dark chanting goshawk? I thought those had a red cere. Since this one has a yellow cere, I suspect it is an eastern chanting goshawk. ChriKo (talk) 22:31, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, ChirKo. No, I am not sure. I am not an expert on birds. I took notes from our human guide and consulted a book on birds of Tanzania which was not as complete as I expected. I'd agree with Melierax poliopterus; as well as the yellow cere, it also has white under-tail coverts (barred in M. metabates). I'll rename it (and the related files) shortly. - MPF (talk) 11:36, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
