Finding image location

I did not manage to find anything exacting, but note the following:

  • On Flickr, the image is featured in a photo set titled "Mile After Magnificent Mile," subtitled "Illinois," for which that phrase is a tourism advertising slogan.
  • Searching across US cemetery records (with nothing more fancy however than regular old Google) found me this: http://files.usgwarchives.net/il/ogle/census/1850/pg061a.txt
  • There's only one gravestone I can read in the image with any slight degree of reliability, producing roughly the following:
AMELIA
WIFE OF 
Wm GARRISON
DIED
Dec 21 1870
AGED
50 Ys 10 Ms 25 Ds

Relating this back to the record linked above, it's possible that the cemetery may be in the vicinity of w:Taylor Township, Ogle County, Illinois. Probably wouldn't hurt to ask the photographer, if anyone is so inclined. Hope this helps. djr13 (talk) 17:49, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
