Meep,

why does the watermark (C Noorse) have to be removed? Henna 19:06, 27 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, because it's kind of ugly. I don't support User:Thuresson's version, though. He apparently didn't losslessly crop, so his version is lower quality. I uploaded a losslessly-cropped version. Of course, it would be even better if Noorse uploaded the original, unmodified version. dbenbenn | talk 15:21, 28 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I have uploaded it, even though watermarked. But user: Thuresson keeps on reverting whatever I do. Correct picture has now been uploaded as Dumper Truck.JPG. Noorse 13:59, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
No, I mean it would be nice if you'd upload the original, non-watermarked image, as it came out of your camera. There's no need to upload to a different title; simply upload that version over this file, "Dumper_truck.JPG".
But please don't upload the watermarked version any more. dbenbenn | talk 01:13, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It was my intention to upload the file using the same filename, but I accidently uploaded it under the wrong filename. The original version was unfortunately destroyed in a hdd-crash, making it unavailable. Because of the editwar started by Thuresson I currently do not feel happy contributing to commons at all, making me want to delete my contributions so far. Noorse 11:41, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why the uploader should not be allowed to upload a watermarked version. If he wants to indicate clearly on the image itself what copyright belongs to it, that is his own right. CyeZ 10:34, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Why is the watermark removed????? Noorse 10:08, 31 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Protected page

[edit]

This page has been protected to prevent any further editwars. GerardM 10:41, 31 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to unprotect this image in a few moments. I hope that neither party attempts to engage in an edit war, else it shall be immediately reprotected -- Joolz 23:17, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Change of license

[edit]

License will be changed from {cc-by-2.0} to {cc-by-nd-2.0} as soon as this image is released, due to behaviour encountered at Commons. Otherwise I expect that the same edit-war will erupt again with {redundant} being moved hence and forth. I'm not interested in contributing to a project where participants behave like this. Noorse 19:03, 31 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if anyone on the commons has upset you, but please reconsider the licence choice, {{Cc-by-nd-2.0}} means that it will have to be deleted on here, as we don't accept anything not under a free licence (which allows the image to be edited). -- Joolz 20:30, 31 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
