The Dudley-Bessey House in Stuart, Florida was also known as the Major Phillip B.H. Dudley Home. Once nestled on the quiet St. Lucie River, it is now one block from the busy US Highway 1. The historic, two-story family home was built in 1909 and features a first floor central hallway which runs from the street directly to the waterfront back yard. Windows line every room and provide an exceptional breeze on winter days in Florida. Originally built for Phillip B.H. Dudley, it was given to Hubert W. Bessey who owned the home until 1918. In 1989, the Dudley-Bessey House was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press. Today, the Dudley-Bessey house is home to United Yacht Sales headquarters. United Yacht Sales specializes in listing and selling of motor yachts, sport fishing boats, center-console boats, cruising yachts, and much more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by UnitedYachtSales (talk • contribs) 17:13, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
