Dating

I really doubt the photo was taken circa 1937. Mihailović in the picture looks way younger compared to the pictures that were taken of him during WW2 (him in 1943, during WW2, close up). Evidence of this are other photos of him looking young but with dating being way earlier, as early as WW1 or on the early interwar period (circa 1922).

However one of the most notable hints is the military emblem that appears on his chest. It is a Serbian coat of arms, bearing the double eagle and the Serbian cross (see here). The Yugoslav monarchy regime at the time employed awards and medals with a different but similar coat of arms, bearing the Serbian cross on the upper edge but also the Croatian checkerboard next to it and the Slovene moon and triple stards on the half botton side (see here).

Thus, I'd date the picture to be at max during WW1 or at least from the early 1910s. --Bankster (talk) 18:05, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
