Historical accuracy

[edit]

This map by Hoshana is nifty and I found it very helpful when figuring out which waters visible from space were part of the Dead Sea. However, comparing it to actual satellite photos, e.g. File:The Dead Sea 1972-2011 - NASA Earth Observatory.jpg, it appears it gets the sequence of events wrong. It looks like the damming actually proceeded south to north, dividing along the international border was not the first step, and it's slightly out of sequence with how the dropping water level changed the shoreline at various stages of damming. -- Beland (talk) 22:35, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It also looks like there's a typo on one of the labels, which should be "Mount Sodom" and not "Mountain Sodom". -- Beland (talk) 22:52, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
